i did go through "The Grief Cycle"


Recently I had privilege to live bachelor life for 6 weeks, initially it was emotional struggle not having kids and wife around. Coming back from work  in a empty place is tough job.

So I thought let me find out if there is some research done about this emotions (love reading about human psychology), and found this interesting piece on emotional cycle when human beings experience after negative event.

The story goes like below graph after a bad event (loosing a job, death, divorce etc...)







Except the Anger Stage, I think I did experience almost all the other stages in varied time frame.

Luckily, after a week or two I was in the acceptance stage. I've always felt that when you are able to observe your emotions the pain is less. 

Now, not long before I see them...

  1. excellent post..teaches the power of "acceptance" and "ability to observe the emotions"..when you are able to observe your emotion, you don't become it..it looses the grip over you and you feel sense of peace, pain is less..tremendously powerful practice!!

  2. Few years ago I went through this cycle and learned that when you divert these negetive emotions towards creative energy it forces inner joy. You might have naturally done the same and perheps start writting this blog is one of the products of this process. Silence conponent of this exprience takes you to blissful space which is meditative. Engagement in flowing energy to creativity can transform loneliness into solitude. Loneliness is accompanied by grief but solitude is accompnied by the self
